Statement of Beliefs
Fundamental Doctrine
The basic and fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit give utterance. We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, all the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.
The Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)
God
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)
Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)
The Gospel
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)
Christian Living
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.)
The Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.)
Curriculum
FCA is proud to offer a Virtual Learning Center (VLC) option for families who prefer a home school education for their students while still being connected to an organized educational operation. The VLC allows students to work their own PACEs at home, under the supervision of a trustworthy adult, and get help from teachers through text, email, or video conferencing platforms when available.
VLC students will be held to the same standards as other students, with the same privileges and opportunities to be involved in field trips, athletics, special projects, and graduations.
FCA staff will work with the parents or guardians of the VLS students by developing reasonable processes for goal setting, scoring, testing, and guiding the overall academic progress of each student enrolled in the FCA Virtual Learning Center.
Faith Christian Academy uses the School of Tomorrow, Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) program as its core curriculum. This curriculum is competency-based and mastery-based. Each student progresses at his or her own rate (pace) of learning, on a prescription basis.
Learning at Faith Christian Academy is mastery-based. Students do not move to the next level until they have mastered the material at the assigned level. Students are tested each year using nationally-standardized tests.

School History
Faith Christian Academy began in August of 2023, forming under the vision and leadership of Pastor Michael A. Patterson, Senior Pastor of Faith Tabernacle. FCA continued a long legacy of Christian Education founded by our Bishop & Dean of Students, Dr. J. A. Patterson, who originally established Faith Academy in Athens in 1981 & Rockdale Christian School in Conyers in 1991.
